61/Regular/Full-TimeResponsible for office support work, especially budget management and bookkeeping for all Wildlife Resource Management Grant and Contract accounts.
This position requires skills in bookkeeping tasks directly related to the D365.
Duties include maintaining financial records, preparing budgets, processing payments through D365.
Responsible for the financial accounting and reporting program financial grants and contracts are in compliance.
Maintains correspondence and coordination with the contracting agencies, governmental offices, sub-contractors and organize office workflow for Wildlife Resource Management.
Examples of Work Performed:
Will provide guidance and assistance to the Wildlife Resource Management administrative and technical staff.
Maintains financial records of all Wildlife Resource Management accounts:
Prepares budget reports and manage program cuff accounts.
Manages office works flow to meet the needs of the Wildlife Resource Management.
Develop a plan of operation for maintenance of contract compliance.
Ensures deadlines are met and quality of work is sufficient to meet project needs.
Makes technical decisions in accordance with policy practices of the Yakama Nation and Federal Contract regulations.
Develop forms as needed to accurately account for all financial transactions.
Will help supervisor with budget maintenance, recommending transactions to meet present or anticipate needs, keeping inventory of equipment, purchasing supplies, and preparing payments to vendors on D365 system on a regular basis.
Provides services and responds to personnel telephone or written inquires of the general public, and governmental officials.
Relieves the project leader of non-technical tasks and helps as a confident bookkeeper IV.
Work is often performed independently without the assistance of other office personnel, reviewed occasionally by supervisor, and evaluated based on timely completion, accuracy and to meet project and program requirements.
Abide by Yakama Nation Rules and Regulations.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting procedures.
Concept and procedures.
Knowledge of D365 accounting system.
Knowledge of fiscal and budget rules and regulations.
Knowledge of Yakama Nation policy and procedures.
Knowledge of general office principles, practices and techniques.
Knowledge of grant and contract rules and regulations, reporting in a timely manner.
Skills in operation of equipment associated with computers, calculators, copy machines and fax machine.
Ability to demonstrate reliability, punctuality and exhibit above average time and attendance.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, private officials and the general public.
Ability to perform typing and 10-keying at a level of proficiency.
Ability to apply general guidelines to facilitate efficient completion of tasks.
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or GED.
Two years of experience as a bookkeeper III or closely related.
Required to pass pre-employment drug test.
Must possess a valid Washington State Driver's License with the ability to obtain a Yakama Nation Driving permit.
Enrolled Yakama Preference, but all qualified applicants are encouraged to apply.
