The IHS goal is to raise Indian health status to the highest possible level. IHS provides leadership and direction to programs and activities designed to improve health outcomes to over 1.9 million AI/AN through a system of IHS, Tribal, and Urban operated facilities and programs.

This position is located at the Yakama Service Unit (Ambulatory Health Care Center) in Toppenish, Washington. Duties are required to be performed in and around the clinic building. The purpose of this position is to perform cleaning and disinfecting duties in medical, dental and office areas in addition to other duties as assigned. The position reports to the Facility Manager.
The selected applicant will be subject to a pre-employment background investigation, which will include a fingerprint check. If applicable-Selective Service registration (Males born after 12/31/59) U.S. Citizenship is required Valid State Driver''s License is required.
Cleans and disinfects assigned areas
Vacuums and shampoos carpet, dust mops and wet mops floors
Utilizes heavy powered scrubbers, buffers, and vacuum cleaners

Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision
PHYSICAL EFFORT is expended in continually standing, walking, stooping, bending and kneeling during the duration of working hours. Frequently carries, lifts, pulls or pushes equipment weight up to and at times beyond 50 pounds.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Incumbent is exposed to unpleasant odors and is frequently exposed to the possibility of cuts, chapped hands and bruises. Protective gloves must be worn at all times when handling infectious waste.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
