Nurse (Community Health)

Nurse (Community Health) will perform the following duties:
Provides skilled nursing care and case management to the individuals, families, and communities through home visits, clinic visits, school visits, outreach clinics, and group education. Conducts field contact investigations for communicable disease outbreaks, and collaborates with the appropriate Health Department(s) and/or health program agency as indicated. Assesses community health needs through program planning, development, and evaluation to provide health promotion and disease prevention by coordinating with other disciplines, such as, local health programs, schools, and agencies as needed. To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. BASIC REQUIREMENT(S):
Education:
A graduate or higher level degree, bachelor's degree, associate degree, or diploma from an accredited professional nursing educational program is required. This education must have been accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs, Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education, or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained. Degree from Foreign Nursing School:
Official certification from the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools is required for individuals who graduated from foreign nursing schools. Licensure:
For all grade levels and positions, applicants must have passed the National Council Licensure Examination. In addition, they must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. In addition, to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below- MINIMUM
Qualifications:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks:
GS-7 Grade Level:
Possession of a bachelor's degree in Nursing and eligibility under the Superior Academic Achievement provision; or Possession of a bachelor's degree in Nursing and at least one full year of professional nursing experience (equivalent to the GS-5 grade level); or Possession of a diploma or associate degree in professional nursing and two full years of professional nursing experience; or Completion of at least one full year of graduate education in a professional nursing educational program. Examples of specialized experience include:
Provides nursing care to individuals, families, schools and communities through counseling, education and prevention, by conducting home visits, clinic visits, and community outreach interventions. Able to conduct patient assessments through obtaining vital signs, interpreting lab values, and administering oral medications and injections as indicated. Preferred knowledge of public health nursing principles and practices, including population and evidenced based interventions, to incorporate, assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of public health programs and initiatives in the community. GS-9 Grade Level:
Possession of a master's degree in professional nursing; or At least one full year of professional nursing experience (equivalent to the GS-7 grade level or above) and possession of a diploma, associate degree, or bachelor's degree in Nursing from a professional nursing program. Examples of specialized experience include:
Provides comprehensive community health nursing care and case management to individuals, families, schools and communities through counseling, education and prevention, by conducting home visits, clinic visits, and community outreach interventions. Able to prioritize and problem solve with minimal supervisory support, to plan, develop, and evaluate public health programs, projects, and/or initiatives. Able to utilize public health nursing principles and practices, including population and evidenced based interventions, by incorporating, assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of public health programs and initiatives in the community with minimal support. GS-11 Grade Level:
Successful completion of a PhD or equivalent doctoral degree from a professional nursing educational program or related medical science field; or At least one full year of professional nursing experience (equivalent to the GS-9 grade level) and possession of a diploma, associate degree, bachelor's degree, or master's degree from a professional nursing educational program. Examples of specialized experience include:
Provides comprehensive community health nursing care and case management to individuals, families, schools and communities through counseling, education and prevention, by conducting home visits, clinic visits, and community outreach interventions. Works independently, to prioritize and problem solve, to plan, develop, and evaluate public health programs, projects, and/or initiatives. Implements public health nursing principles and practices, including population and evidenced based interventions, to incorporate, assessment, planning, and evaluation of public health programs and initiatives in the community, independently. You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
